Boishakhi

Poila Boishak or the Bengali New Year is ushered by Oikyotan with lots of fun, food and frolick which include a huge list of cultural programs inclusive of songs, dance performances, skits, recitations, fashion shows, plays, narrations etc. An elaborate food festival and a fair of traditional Bengali handicrafts, handloom, garments, sarees and much more are part of this event. Also a get-together among members is one of the highlight of this "Boishakhi" celebration. It’s a two day long festivity which is organized in partnership with several media houses.

The objective of this event is to connect the entire Bengali diaspora of Pune and provide them a platform to reconnect with their roots and to showcase Bengali culture, cuisine and handicrafts. Also this event gives an opportunity to the local talents to showcase their finesse in art and culture alongside established artists from all across India.
